In short
The PUP ON! measures 59 × 47 × 6 inches and supports up to 250 lbs. A weighted mesh rests just under the surface, so dogs can find footing before climbing onto the non-slip EVA deck. Yellow and blue were chosen because they stand out in canine vision.
Best forLarge or senior dogs who need a wide, stable landing area.
Key features
- Huge 59 × 47 in platform, up to 250 lbs
- Yellow & blue colours that dogs perceive best
- Stainless steel D-rings to tie it to a pool, dock or pontoon
- Full kit: pump, 2 ropes, storage bag, repair kit
What we liked
- Great size-to-price ratio on Amazon.com
- Visible from across the pool
- Pump included
What we liked less
- Takes space on the water in a small pool
- European prices are much higher than in the US
How it works
An inflatable platform floats at the surface while a weighted mesh or ladder hangs below it. Your dog swims onto the submerged part, gets its back paws on a step, then walks up onto the deck and out of the pool. Tie it to a ladder, a heavy object or the pool steps so it stays in place.
Setup tips
- 1Leave it tied near the steps, where your dog naturally swims
- 2Train with treats on the deck the first few times
- 3Store deflated and out of direct sun in winter
